Based on the information provided, I might lean toward the executive MBA. You are well along in your career and seem to be looking for MBA to provide a boost to your long term impact. You have about 2x the amount of professional experience vs. the typical 2-year MBA applicant and would likely not need all that is offered in the core curriculum for these programs. Not only would the executive MBA provide you a shorter route to your goals, it would also likely be easier for you to be admitted, since often the full time MBA programs are tougher on applicants with as much work experience as you have. The full time MBA is better suited for early career professionals who are not as far down the road as you are. One thing to look for in your case if you decide to go the route of executive MBA is to research the career support centers at your target schools to make sure they provide support for EMBA career switchers. Because there are fewer career switchers in EMBA programs, often there is not as much support provided. Sometimes you can negotiate up front access to the same team who helps the full time MBA grads. Access to recruiters would be very nice in your case when the time comes to find that next job. Finally, the EMBA programs would allow you to keep working and earning income while you go to school and also apply what you learn in the classroom and on projects to your current role in real time. Often, I find that EMBA applicants end up demonstrating so much value in the workplace as they progress in the program, that they are offered promotions.
