Hi,
Would you please help to evaluate if my target schools fit?
Nationality: Chinese
Age: 28
Education: Bachelor in a Top 5 university in China, major Computer Science
GPA: 3.0
GMAT: 770
TOEFL: 97 (plan to have a 2nd try in Nov)
Working Exp: 6+ years by now
Current Position: IT Development Manager in a leading multinational bank
Post-MBA: short-term strategy consulting. long term COO/CIO
International Exposure: half year in Hong Kong, daily work with people from Malaysia, India, Hong Kong, Korean (will this be regarded as international exposure?)
Target Schools: Wharton, Sloan, Tuck, Ross, Duke, Cornell
My questions are
1) shall I apply in R1 using my current TOEFL score, or wait for my 2nd try TOEFL and apply in R2? Will the low TOEFL score be a great concern to adcoms?
2) Beside the schools listed, any safety schools I should consider?

1) If your TOEFL meets your target school's minimum (and it probably doesn't) and you are otherwise ready, apply R1. If the TOEFL does not meet the target school's minimum, then apply R2 with a better TOEFL.
2) Strat consulting does not lend itself to safety schools, but consider Dardenand UCLA.
