liyanghan,
The key thing missing from your profile above is what you want to do when you graduate. Studying general management is all well and good, but that will happen everywhere. Even schools known for specialties lay the groundwork with a management-based methodology. So to pick schools, you need to think about your short-term and long-term career goals. What do you want to do? Who do you want to be? Where do you want to live? The answers to those questions will be critical.
The good thing about your initial list (setting aside whether they are the right fit) is that you have tagged some top U.S. schools that are in smaller towns, which is smart for an international applicant. Many students from countries like India and China apply to b-school, but the bulk of that demographic tends to congregate in the big cities like NY, Chicago, LA, and the Bay Area. Targeting Hanover, NH and Ann Arbor, MI, and even UVA is a smart move. The field will be less crowded with students who share your demo.
When you factor in your strong stats, you are very much in the ball game. But it really does come down to how well you articulate your path and show that the time is right, the degree is right, and the school is right. Then, if you can extract the proper themes and put them into your responses, you will be flying high.
Hope this helps point you in the right direction.
Respectfully,
Paul Lanzillotti
