Hi,
I took my GMAT today, but unfortunately, could not get a good score.
Although I have taken GMAT earlier, my scores have not been too impressive.
I need a profile evaluation to know the chances I stand of getting into a decent college.
GMAT score : 640 / 610 / 630
Average years of work experience : 5+ ( starting 09/2005 ) in IT
GPA : 3.5
The colleges I m planning to apply for :
1. ESADE.
2. IESE.
3. Rotman.
4. Tippie.
5. Wake Forest.
Languages known : 5
I have good extra curriculars and a wide range of languages. I can produce good letter of recos from my senior colleagues.
It would be more than helpful if anyone can suggest / reccomend the way forward.
Since, I have already taken the GMAT a number of times , and considering I do not have too much time, I would not like to re-take the exam again for this year's admission.

Hi Sap,
Do not be hard on yourself for your GMAT score. Your highest GMAT will be the only one considered, and a 640 puts you in range for those MBA programs. An admissions team will want to see that you can handle the rigor of their program, so particularly for quantitative skills, you can mention perhaps your high scores in quantitative focused classes at the undergraduate level to make up for a lower than expected GMAT score. The number of languages you speak is very impressive.
Right now, focus on a few messages you would like an admissions team to know about you, speak to individuals who can recommend you on behalf of these messages you have outlined, and then begin writing your essays to better portray yourself as a candidate. One thing I did not see above is your leadership experience. MBA admissions teams will be looking for this, as well as a history of progression in your career.

The schools you are applying to are competitive and although 640 may be in the range, it will be in the lower range and one of the weaker component of your application.
If you think one more GMAT take can not raise your score by another 30-40+ points, don't bother retaking it. Instead, focus on your application. However, if you think you can get close to 700, you might want to take one more chance, more so if you are planning for fall 2011 deadlines which give you enough time. In any case, the business school is going to take your highest score, so your GMAT score can only go higher than 640 or remains the same.
