I recommend that you aim high in your goals. First, focus on studying for the GMAT. GMATClub is a great resource for this. Make sure to put your best foot forward in your studies.
Second, look for leadership opportunities at work. This doesn't necessarily need to be a promotion, but business school admissions teams want to see initiative and experience in managing others.
Third, begin crafting a story for your application and look for ways that you can make your candidacy stand out. We have a case here that can serve as an example for you.
