Hi lookatami:
"MBA dream", I like how you put that. Let me see if I can help you out by answering your question the best way I know how.
I think that management consulting could be a good path. Do not really have a lot of insight into your current work experience, so it can be hard for me to say that it is the career path that you should follow in the short-term. It is also really hard for me to tell you what it is that you should do in the long-term. If you have read a lot of my other posts, you will know that I believe your longer-term goals should be linked to something your personally passionate about, whenever possible. since I have little insight into your extracurricular leadership initiatives, I am not really able to define a specific longer-term goals as well.
If you want to improve your extracurricular activities, I would suggest taking a leadership position at a nonprofit organization that is involved with something you truly care about. So what do you truly care about? Find that activity and pursue it -- that is how you improve your extracurricular activities.
If you want to learn more about one your programs, I suggest looking a recent post on my blog --

Respectfully,
Paul Lanzillotti
