I am planning to apply to top Bschools for the 2012 intake of their MBA programs, which schools should i target? which B-schools do i have a good/ average/ dream chance of getting into?
How good are the chances of getting a scholarship and in which universities?
how good are my chances of getting into ISB?
how is IESE spain in terms of job prospects, or is getting a job in europe a problem after an mba from IESE?
Hi Arjcon,
I balanced profile with all ingredients for a MBA application.
GMAT score - good
IIT brand - good
3 years of experience - OK
Quality of experience - can be projected well in essays because it looks lke you have had flavor of different domains
CFA level 1 will add weight provided you mention finace as you post MBA goals and also establish a connection with your past experience.
Music, Dance, swimming all will help if used well in the essays to convince the adcom that if you are passionate about something you take it to a decent level.
ISB should for sure give you a call given general acceptance rate will go up with 770 seats now ( Mohali campus admissions open)
I am not sure whether IESE is a great choice. European schools normally look for more work ex. and as you mentioned getting a job might not be very easy.
I feel US is the right place for you.
Your list of schools will actually depend on your post mba desired insustry and also your willingness to go with a tier 2 ( rank 15-30) school if you get a scholarship. Once you specify that we can work on a list.
Hope that helps
Aman
