Hello,
My aim is to apply for the Fall 2014 admissions. Please let me know your thoughts on my profile and my targeted schools:
GMAT: 710 (Q48, V40)
CGPA: 6.6/10 - Anna University, Chennai - B.Tech(Information Technology) -Graduated with First Class, May 2010
WE: 37 months (Jun 2010 - Aug 2013)
1. KPMG Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd. (Jun 2012 - Aug 2013)
-Analyst in the IT department, specializing in SAP.
-Client-facing, multiple stints at client locations - in fact spent almost all my time at either one client's office or the other (within India mostly, 1 month in Nigeria)
-Have been involved in developing proposals and effort estimates in order to prepare bids for winning clients
-I did not gain any leadership experience here, but I have had opportunities to conduct workshops for senior members of the client's firm, negotiate estimates of project costs and being in KPMG, participated in projects other software engineers at my level do not usually get to, such as e-audits, projects blueprint reviews, cost estimates.
-Have been commended multiple times by my managers and supervisors for excellent delivery and for my professional communication and client-handling.
2. Accenture Services Pvt. Ltd (Jun 2010 - May 2012)
-Started as Associate Software Engineer. Promoted to Software Engineer in a year with the highest internal rating (the top 5 percent) in my peer group
-Worked primarily in software development, heavily involved in client interfacing in order to gather requirements and such. Client was based in UK and hence most of my communication was with clients located in Europe.
-Again, I have been awarded multiple times for outstanding performances. Was selected to substitute the Team Lead on occasions even though more experienced colleagues were available.
Extra:
Worked in the Chennai chapter of Aisec for a year. Involved in organizing over three successful international internships.
Fitness Enthusiast - marathon runner, Crossfit etc.
Amateur writer of fiction.
ABRSM Piano - Grade 4
I would like to do an MBA because I wish to learn marketing, to which I have been exposed over the last year. I want to bundle both my passion for technology and knowledge of marketing and land a career as a Product Manager, probably in the hi-tech industry.
Schools I am targeting are:
1. ISB
2. NUS
3. Nanyang
4. UNC Kenan-Flagler
5. Kellogg
6. Olin (Babson)
7. Michigan (Ross)
8. Oxford (Said)
9. Manchester Business School
10. NYU Stern
I wish to know what schools fall within the match and safety range for me. And if I am not targeting any schools that I should be.
I really appreciate the time you are taking out for me!
Thanks,
Sreenadh
Kellogg and NYU Stern are stretch programs. ISB, Ross, Ross, Said, and UNC are in the match. the others are more safety programs.
I think you should also consider Cornell Johnson and Duke.
Best,
Linda
