Thanks for the additional information. Your work experience is great and I like the mixture of impact and leadership. From a GPA perspective you'll need to write about that in your optional essay but you're not the first person who partied a bit too hard!

What concerns me, however, is that you have no idea what you're doing come October. You also didn't do anything impressive in your gap year so it's not like you left for a great reason. That's a pretty big flag. At the very least, it could be mitigated if you knew what you were going to do but not having anything to write about in terms of what's ahead is going to raise the alarm. People who leave work usually do so to pursue something they are passionate about. Or they are doing it between one opportunity and the next. Not being able to talk about either is rough.

I think you should focus on figuring out what's next first and ASAP. Then plan to apply next fall once you have a story around this gap.
