Following is my profile. please provide some feedback on the same:
College: MIT Manipal
B. Tech Mechanical Engineering
GPA : 7.3/10
Year of Passing - 2015
2 Internships at Indian Automotive company in R&D and Production
1 Internship at International Automotive company based in Bangalore for 6 months in R&D
International experience in Europe with SAE team
1 year of NGO work
Job: Will start with Supply Chain at a leading Indian Automotive company this July
GMAT: 710
TOEFL: Will give next month
Languages: Knowledge of German upto basic working proficiency.
Year of Application : Fall 2017
Work Ex at time of application : 2 years
Plan: I wish to take up a job with constant changing variables such as Consulting or General Management. Travel and Change of Location not at all a concern, in fact I would prefer it.
Choice of MBA: Operations / International Management / Finance
I have heard of the Early Entry Option in many courses. How valid is it? And which colleges? Also which colleges are safe or ambitious for me?
How ambitious is INSEAD?

While INSEAD is certainly not out of the question, much will be determined over the next few years of work experience. It's difficult to predict exactly when you'll be ready for business school, and the early career MBA option has not fully taken flight yet, so I would not pin hopes on everything coming together within two years. Certainly some good options exist for early career applicants, such as Chicago Booth and Wharton among others, so you might want to do some homework on those schools if you end up pursuing the early career MBA track. By then, I am sure other top schools will be offering something in that area. There are also degrees for students without much experience such as Duke's Masters in Management Studies program. This is a program specifically designed for people without much work experience.
There are many things you can do to ensure you will be ready for top programs. The most important thing is to work hard and seek challenges. When you put extra effort in, you are assured of receiving good recommendations, and recommendations are critical for early career MBA candidates. Secondly, you should seek opportunities to engage with and lead in your community. Having an impact outside of work will go a long way for a younger candidate. They do not expect much achievement in this area early in your career, so by impressing them, you will stand out in a very positive way in the application process. Finally, you should try to get some international experience. This again, is something unusual for early career MBAs to have on their resumes, so if you can pull it off, it will help a lot.
