1) I work as an engineer responsible for maintaining and protecting onshore gas pipelines. I have no international experience at all and been working for 2 years.
2) My GMAT is 700.
3) I graduated from top three universities in Thailand, and my GPA is 2.95. My GPA looks slightly bad, but in my faculty, my GPA was at 70 percentile of the class.
My major is civil engineering.
4) During my freshman and sophomore, I was a member of Public Relation Club, which creates engineering campuses for high school students and helps improve lives of poor children in upcountry. Nevertheless, I do not have any volunteer work at al during my work life.
5) My target schools are those top twenty universities ranked by U.S.News only.
6) I would like to apply for R1 2017-18 or R2 2017-18.
7) I am now 24 years old.
Questions:
Do I have to change my work position to another challenging position?
Should I convince adcom that my UGPA is not so bad, and should I show evidence to adcom to prove that I was at 80 percentile of my class?
To be specific, the evidence is just a picture showing all students' GPA of my class. I got the picture from a job affair at my university where they asked all students to give them information. However, the language used in the picture is Thai. Is it worth to show adcom the picture?
Do I have a shot at top ten business schools?
Should I do more volunteer work, and which kind of work should I do?
Do you have any suggestion?
Thank you in advance.
