Sounds like your future has a couple of pathways, which in some respects could put off MBA programs, who generally want to see a pretty decisive vision, lest you risk them telling you to come back in a few years when you are more clear on your goals. For example, a PhD is something you typically would not pursue after an MBA, since an MBA is a "terminal degree" in most cases. Much better to go the MS route if your ultimate goal is PhD, since the MS route will allow for more research and will prepare you better/more attractively for good PhD programs. Since there are no theses to write or research to do in an MBA program, you won't have the opportunity to develop those skills which will be attractive to PhD programs. In short, I think you could be attractive as an applicant to either path, but it's one you'd be better off deciding on up front, since they tend to diverge down the road.
