Hi,
I just turned 28 and am considering to apply to business school this year.
I am German, have an undergrad in BA at a German university and a MSc in Finance from London School of Economics.
I have co-founded and sold 3 companies during my undergrad (import export, manufacturing and private equity), one for $xxm (no tech, high leverage and I was one of 3 founders so no superstar).
I started working at McKinsey last year and would get BS funding.
I fought for years inch by inch for what I achieved so far and it was not easy for me. My high school grades are at 50%th percentile, Undergrad top 10%, Master I received a Merit (Distinction being best).
I have studied for the GMAT before two years ago for several months and have taken it twice back then at 630 and 640 (once weak quant once weak verbal). I now have little time to study and although I became better at English (2 years in London now), I am not sure I can achieve the necessary score (many in my office went to my target schools and the average GMAT seems to be around 750-760 - I was told to get at least 720)
Applying would mean a lot of effort for me since I have very little time to study. I can use 3 weeks of holiday mainly for the GMAT. Putting the test aside, where would you put my chances to get into HBS, Stanford, INSEAD? I would not apply to other Business Schools.
Thanks for your help and advice
