Hi Team,
I took GMAT recently and got 680.
(Verbal-33,Quant-49,Analytical Writing-3 & Integrated Reasoning-3).
10th Class- 86% CBSE Board India
12th Class-80.6% CBSE Board India
B.Tech Mechanical Engineering National Institute of Technology-Bhopal India , 78.4%
I have 5 years of experience in Ford Motor Company.
3 years worked as New Car Model Launch Engineer (Production Planning & Facility Implementation)
2 years worked as Process Engineer (Product Quality & Delivery Domain)
Is the above GMAT score good enough to apply for ISB , IIM A,B,C , Mannheim Business School Germany, Nanyang and National University of Singapore ?
Or do I need to give GMAT again for better score. :?

Post MBA Goal- I want to continue in Automobile Industry.
Also any other B schools where I can apply with this score.
any advice or directions is greatly appreciated.

Thanks :-D

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your profile! Unfortunately, our firm focuses on the top MBA programs in the US and Europe so I won’t be able to advise on the specific programs that you mentioned. However, in general, if you’re wondering about where your GMAT score stands with various programs, I suggest looking up the most recent class profile for each school and that will give you a good idea of where you stack up. For example, it looks like the average GMAT score for Mannheim Business School is 660, so your score of 680 puts you in the running.

If you’re considering any programs in the US, I would suggest taking a bit more of a geographic focus. Michigan Ross would be the obvious choice for the automotive industry stateside but it’s probably a bit on the reach end of the spectrum for you so I would advise hedging your bets with some other programs as well. Otherwise, I would suggest thinking about what companies you might want to work for, where they’re located, and then considering programs nearby i.e. Georgia Tech / Emory in Atlanta for Porsche, programs in the mid-west (Olin, Carlson, etc.) for GM, etc.

In addition to focusing on your score, however, I would encourage you to think about your reasons for pursuing an MBA and what you hope to get out of it in order to guide your school selection. Knowing specifically what you want out of your MBA is step one in selecting the schools that are best positioned to get you there. If you can’t find the information you need online, speaking with current students and alums is going to be your best resource.

Best of luck to you!
