Aman854
Hi,
Following is my brief profile:
Age: 32 (Married with 1 Kid)
Hi Aman854 let me address your questions below.
GMAT: Scheduled on 2nd Sept. 2017. Mock range – 670-710For top US programs, and for overcoming the fact that you have an MBA already- I would aim for 710+ and if that means you do R2 then do R2.
Work Ex: 9 years
Post-MBA: 9 years
1. Business Analyst at Bharti AXA Life Insurance for 2 years, working on different models and tie ups with various Banks.
2. Worked with a Design consultant and Interior designer as Business Development manager for 2 years.
3. Worked with Nirmal Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd. as a brand manager, worked with brands like US Open, Discovery, FINA and NDTV.
4. Working in family business, handling operations, marketing and sales for Custom clearing agent
5. Working on my entrepreneurial journey as Founder of Engage Fitness application, a mobile app for Employee Engagement.
Work Ex:
MBA from We School of Management, Mumbai, India
Reason for doing 2nd MBA:
1. To move from business to the corporate world. - ??? business is the corporate world! I guess maybe not small entrepreneurial- but in any case I'd work on rephrasing this as a reason why-
2. Gain international exposureThis one is a stronger case! ANd focus on what kind of work you seek here in US
Target B-school:
INSEAD, KELLOGs, CORNELL,
1 year programs in US or Europe which give good exposure and innovative learning.
Might look at 1 yr Tech MBA at NYU, I think unless that GMAT score pops up, Kellogg and Cornell will be stretches. I'd look in the range of Kelley, Mendoza, Georgetown, Olin, Owen....
My questions are:
1. Which colleges should I target see my suggestions above
2. As the deadlines for Round 1 for many colleges is within 15 days of giving my GMAT, would that be ample amount of time.I think if you have not yet secured a 710+ score then I would wait until R2 to give yourself the best chance of success!
