Hello,

Can you please have a quick look and let me know what chances do I have

Planning to do my MBA in 2019

- Male, Indian, 25 yo
- Undergraduate from Mumbai University (B.com)
- I got a 80% (Not sure what the GPA would be, but I guess it should be 3+ out of 4) - It might be a bit low. I was doing my CA & CFA along with my undergrad.
- CFA Charterholder (U.S.A)
- Chartered Accountant (I.C.A.I, India)
- Diploma in IFRS (A.C.C.A)
- GMAT: 700

Work Experience:

- Audit Assistant (Internship) for Financial Sector Industries like Banks, AMCs & Mutual Funds
* 3 years ( 2011 - 2014 )
* From BDO International

- Product Control Analyst for Fixed Income Structured Products
* 2 Years 8 Months (2014 - 2017)
* Got promoted to Associate
* From Morgan Stanley
* Global Exposure (Speaking daily with Counterparts & Traders from Hong Kong, EMEA & Tokyo)

- 2nd Year Analyst in Structural Interest Rate & Mortgage Risk Management (Treasury)
* 3 months so far (current employment)
* From JP Morgan

Extracurriculars:
* 1 year working at a NGO focused on children education

Post MBA objective:
* Investment Banking
* Management Consulting

Business Schools
* Chicago Booth
* Ross
* Tuck
* Duke
* UVA Darden

Can you please advice me if I should aim lower? and just tell me how i fair for each of the above schools
Also, will my CFA & CA be taken into consideration by Universities ? As doing those 2 courses at the same time with my Undergrad is what costed me my GPA

Hi there,

Looks like you've had nice career progression - which is fantastic! Unfortunately, as an Indian male you are competing in a very tough category where average GMAT scores are typically 730+. Some of our former adcom folks recommend Indian candidates shoot for 740+ to really be competitive. I would recommend that you retake the exam and then that will help you focus in on a target range for schools. Best of luck!
