Hii I am new to the GMAT preparation and therefore I want my profile to be evaluated so that I would be aware whether I am suitable for Business schools and how much I need to score for admission in good B Schools. I have the target to take admission in 2019.

I have around 95% marks in 10th and 10+2 from CBSE Board
I have 8.6 CGPA from one of the medium rank NIT in India

Total Experience (5 years in India)

1. 2.5 years experience in Software Development in Financial service company (India)
2. 2 years gap due to UPSC Civil Service Examination preparation
3. 2.5 years experience of government job in intelligence organization in India and have just resigned in order to apply for top B schools to change the career and it was not possible to apply from the organization because they didnt permit.
4. I am going to associate with an NGO in near future.
Achievement:-
1. Topper throughout my school career
2. Topped the training course in intelligence organization
3. In very short duration got the opportunity to head the unit

Please evaluate my profile and any kind of review will be helpful for me to take decision ahead. Thanks in Advance

Hey Rahullfc,
Great time to start your MBA plans.
Your profile is quite decent. Your journey from decent to awesome stands upon what GMAT scores you get.

Suggest you to get your GMAT scores first and then intensify your plans.

Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your profile - there are a few things that you should think of:

- Since you come from a tough demographic (Indian male), you should aim for a 740+ on the GMAT (with at least an 80th percentile across both the quant and verbal sections)
- Professionally how what you have done in the past connects with what you'd like to do in the future/post-MBA
- Associating with the NGO is great - what kind of impact will you have?

I hope this is helpful!

Best,
