Thank you in advance for your help! I am a Chinese American female, age 25 looking to apply to the following schools: Kellogg, Johnson (dual program with MILR), USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley
Hi @GMATKay22, thanks for reaching out for a profile review- happy to help! See my notes below.GPA: 3.75 at University of Southern California
impressive!GMAT: 710
This- while generally a great score- may not be as great if your Citizenship is from China. However if you are a US citizen this will go far for you.Work Experience:
2.5 years in retail management
if you applying for next yr r1 2018 you will have even more experience- and that will add- when you think about your experience- think not just about year- but as you do below- capture the impact you have had-no promotions but took on responsibility as district trainer in my second year and trained other leaders
-also was invited to annual leadership meeting for those who show high potential (out of 7 leaders in our district, I was the only one invited)
-consistently led team to top 5 in meeting our metrics out of 62 teams in our group
-recruited over 50 people every year for seasonal hires
-leadership: led 4 shift leaders and 50 team members
.5 year in entry level recruiting
-was interested in recruiting and HR from previous job and decided to make a career switch into recruiting
-voted top employer who consistently look for ways to improve processes
Extracurricular:
-run marathons and actively participates in company and local running clubs
-was a tour guide and student ambassador in undergrad
Goals post MBA:
-looking to obtain a HR management role
My top schools are Kellogg, Cornell, and Berkeley but not sure what my chances are. Also I'm curious to ask if I should retake my GMAT? Since my work experience doesn't show any quantitative skills, I'm assuming my GMAT score is on the lower side. It would be my third time taking the test if I were to retake it.
