Age - 29
Male
Founding team member at a leading startup in India valued at around $200m and with around 250 members. Joined as employee #2 have been here for the last 4 years. Joined as a developer currently working as a Product Manager since last 1 and a half year. Currently handling involved in various major projects at the company.
Worked as an applications engineer for 2.5 years at a Fortune 500 Tech company prior to that.
I got a GMAT score of 760.
Graduated from Tier 1 college (IIT Khargpur to be precise) as a Civil Engineer with 7.9 GPA
Extra curricular: Guitarist, Podcaster
Target schools - Top 10.
Interested in knowing which are the best programs for someone interested in Product role.
Post MBA goal is to work at a FAANG company in silicon valley as a Product Manager.

Which school to choose would depend a lot upon your preferences, though clearly with your post MBA career path preference, I would want to go for Stanford, Anderson, Berkeley (West) and UPenn, Kellogg, Chicago & MIT
Given these are extremely premium schools, your presentation also needs to be done very well.

A few thoughts on your profile evaluation and plans:
- The academic background is pretty solid given the IIT pedigree as well as a respectable GPA. The GMAT will help quell any doubts regarding academic competitiveness and you are well sorted on this area.
- The professional profile shows promise given the steep career trajectory. Working with startups can be a bit of a double-edged sword though so make sure you communicate the scale/brand associations as much as possible, in a compelling manner. The post-MBA pitch also has to be carefully crafted since you are already a PM. Just moving to a bigger firm may not easily cut it and could be a bit of under-utilization of the MBA. So, think and craft this well.
- The ECs have been mentioned in a pretty sketchy manner. MBA schools value ECs. Scale, recency and impact will determine whether this is useful or a blind spot for you. Make sure to factor this into your plans.
- For reasons mentioned here, we don't speculate on school selection or chances. That being said, with the right execution plan, you should be looking at the top leagues for sure. Here are the best programs for tech management.
