Hello All,
This is going to be a long post, so that any input will be appreciated.
I want to thank all of you for helping people unconditionally like us in our GMAT and Admission journey.
My official score came today, and I have scored 730 (Q 51, V 38, IR 5, AWA 4). I'm disappointed with my IR and AWA score, but the overall score is way beyond my expectation.
About myself:
I'm a 34-year-old male currently living in Canada as a Permanent Resident, and I'm a citizen of Bangladesh. I've completed both my BBA (GPA 3.1) and MBA (3.5) from Bangladesh and five years of experience in the domain of Product and Brand Marketing. I'm currently working as a customer service representative for the last three years, the only Canadian experience I have. Currently, I'm working part-time to focus on my GMAT and MBA journey. I do not have any extra-curricular and volunteer experience. I have never received any medals or accolades for my academic or any other kind of performance.
I'm looking for a 100% scholarship opportunity to pursue an MBA within North America from next year. A loan would be an enormous burden on me, as my family members rely on my income.
My desired business schools from Canada are Rotman, Sauder, Ivey, Schulich, and Desautels. And top 30 business schools (US News Ranking) of USA.
Post-MBA Goals:
I want to work for a consulting company for a couple of years and start my venture in Education. My country lacks the primary system to match up with the 21st century. There is a contrasting difference between how subjects are taught in Urban and Rural areas; I want to provide a platform that will bring most students' learning experience to a similar level.
Questions:
a) Is my IR and AWA score going to be a significant drag on the application?
b) Any institution (not affiliated with the B-School) that provides scholarships to students (Tuition and Living)?
c) My medium of learning was English. Do I need to sit for an IELTS or TOFEL exam?
d) Will having an MBA already lower my chances of getting admitted?
Thank you for reading my post! Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
