Ujjwal1, your journey showcases determination and persistence. Gaining admission to a Top 20 U.S. MiM program will be challenging due to academic inconsistencies, extended graduation timelines, and a lack of a clear professional trajectory. While a 730 GMAT could significantly strengthen your profile, it may not fully compensate for your low 10th and 12th scores, 3-year gap before college, and backlogs. Admissions committees in top U.S. MiM programs prioritize academic consistency, leadership, and a well-defined career path, and your experience in tutoring and teaching, while
commendable, lacks direct alignment with business-oriented skills. Your multiple attempts at competitive exams demonstrate
persistence, but without substantial achievements to showcase, schools may question the clarity and direction of your journey. Realistically, top 10 U.S. MiM programs will be highly competitive, while top 20 programs would be challenging, requiring a strong narrative on how you overcame past setbacks. As a strategic alternative, consider exploring more about the schools and you can also explore European MiM programs, which might be slightly more flexible in admissions. Connect with schools and alumni to gain valuable insights that will significantly enhance your application.
It brings to mind this quote: "Energy and persistence conquer all things." – Benjamin Franklin
