HI Linda,

Thanks for your reply.
Should I put my business experience (that I had side-by-side) on my resume? or just use it in my essays? (I have heard that it may be backfire on ethical grounds)
What would you recommend I do?

Some companies have contracts that forbid moonlighting. Others don't have those clauses. If your contract didn't prohibit the moonlighting, unless you were breaking the contract in some other way, I don't see a problem if you mention the work you were doing on the side.

Best,
Linda

Hi Linda,

One dilemma I am in is regarding the Letter of Recommendation :
Apart from the LOR from my immediate manager in the company that I work for (full time), I can get a Letter of Recommendation from a senior manager (2nd to CEO) of the only Copper mining company in India. I have interacted a lot with him over past 4 years for my family business and he will surely have a word or two of praise for me. :)
Would it be okay to take a LOR from him ?
(One from my manager and one from him)

Sure. I don't see why not.
