sharmar,

Given your profile, which is solid but not particularly strong or distinctive (at least in terms of applicants for "ultra elite" B-schools), I think you are competitive at UNC and Georgetown and have perhaps a decent shot at Fuqua and Darden. Unless I am missing something, however, I don't think Ross, Yale, Kellogg, Haas, Tuck, or Wharton are doable. The combination of your demographic and your middling / unspectacular career pace, community leadership, and numbers is the reason I can't be more positive.

Hope this helps,

Thank you for your reply. How can I work to improve my candidacy at the other universities? Will retaking the GMAT help? Or should I seek more leadership opportunities outside work?

Sharmar,

Raising your GMAT score won't make your profile more distinctive. Yes, get more leadership both in and outside of work.

Good luck,
