Ajay,

You didn't really give me enough info about yourself to comment usefully on your chances. However, given your GMAT score and applicant pool ("IT Indian male"), I would say the following schools are not at all realistic for you: HBS, Tuck, Kellogg, and Haas. Depending on how strong the profile that you didn't give me is, you could perhaps apply to some of these schools as long-shots: IESE, Duke, Michigan, HEC, Virginia, and UCLA. Given your consulting goals, you may want to focus on the following schools, which place a higher-than-average percentage of MBAs in consulting: Carnegie Mellon, Texas, Emory, Maryland, and Georgetown.

Good luck,

Ajay,

Thanks for the additional info. You have a solid profile but one that makes you a long-shot at the very top-ranked schools. So I will stand by my earlier comments on your school list. Of the following schools--IESE, Duke, Michigan, HEC, Virginia, and UCLA--I would encourage you to target IESE, Duke, HEC, and Virginia rather than Michigan and UCLA. See my emails for the other schools I suggested.

Good luck to you,
