Work exp. - 4 years by fall 2010 (Biotech industry 3 yr, Management consulting life sciences - 1 yr)
Age - 27
Extracurriculars - soccer team, harmonica player, sketching, sculling, photography, PC strategy games, swimming, engaged at work extra curricular events too
Community service - Inner-city district school work for 1 year, Afghan entrepreneurship program ongoing since the past 1 year
Post MBA goals - Business development in Life Sciences followed by entrepreneurship life sciences.
I have applied to MIT and Berkeley. These are in the top 10.
I am considering Duke and UCLA. I am not sure if these are safety for me.
What would be a list (8-10) of safety schools for me?

Two things make your profile stand out: (1) Biotech industry 3 yr, Management consulting life sciences - 1 yr and (2) Afghan entrepreneurship program ongoing since the past 1 year. You need to emphasize these in your applications because as an Indian male you have a lot of stiff competition.
Duke and UCLAare not safety schools for you. You are competitive at them. Safety schools are schools you can be reasonably optimistic you'll be admitted at. For you that might schools like Indiana, Notre Dame, BYU, Emory, Maryland, Vanderbilt, Washington (Olin) and a host of lower-ranked schools.
