Hi Alex, I'm planning for 1 year full time MBA program. Below is my profile. Could you suggest me target B-schools? Appreciate your time.
Acads: I'm Undergratuate in Engineering (Electronics - 64.4%) and MS (Software Systems - 8.9 CGPA)
Experience: I have 13 years of experience in the Software R&D. I currently work in Oracle India in a Techno-Managerial role. I'm responsible for the delivery of multi-billion dollar projects. My role requires planning, task allocation, tracking, interaction with cross-functional teams across the globe and delivery of the software projects. I have visited the US twice for work purpose. I've taken a few initiatives which have benefited the people around.
EC: I've good extra curricular activities (Organizing Member of a spiritual Organization; Executive Member of an NGO). I visit places, and I do a lot of social service through these platforms. Example:
1. As operations head of the Travel Desk, I have overseen the travel and tour operations for the benefit of 770 delegates during 2008 meet in Bangalore. Defined the strategy and process for the smooth functioning of the travel desk.
2. Currently involved in negotiating the airfare, and overseeing travel arrangements for over 80 visitors to South Africa.
GMAT: I took my GMAT in May and got a score of 560 (Q41, V27, AWA5.0). Don't have plans for re-take.
Post MBA: In 4-5 year horizon I want to get into Consulting in Clean Energy, Sustainability. After that I plan to start my own business.
I want to go for a full time MBA. Not keen on the Executive or part-time programs.

What will dictate the tier of school you can get into is your GMAT score. You have a solid profile overall (a bit old compared to most other MBA applicants, but not fatal if you're not applying to the top schools).
With a 560, you're basically limiting yourself to schools outside the top 30 -- schools like Thunderbird, Pepperdine, UC-Irvine, Rice, Baruch, Fordham, etc. If you want to be competitive for schools within the top 30 (even those in the bottom half of the top 30 like USC, Texas, Georgetown, etc.) then you realistically need a low- to mid-600s to be competitive.
