Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some
realistic MiM / MBA / MMS options where I can secure
at least one admit, and I’d really value honest feedback from the community.
GMAT Focus: 645
Academics: B.Tech in Computer Science from VIT Vellore, CGPA 7.71/10.
I’m aware this is on the lower side and one of the weaker parts of my profile. Where allowed, I’ve explained this through optional essays, especially around health-related setbacks during my undergrad years.
Work Experience (1.8 years): I currently work in the creative/marketing space and have spent the last ~7 months in a leadership role. I’ve worked on award-winning campaigns and regularly operated at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and execution. While my role is creative by title, a large part of my work involves problem-solving, consumer insight, and shaping brand direction.
Short-term goals: I want to move from a purely creative role into a
strategic/creative consulting or brand strategy role, either on the consumer brand side or within consulting.
Extracurriculars: – Competitive powerlifting (long-term commitment, discipline, and resilience)
– Actively involved in animal welfare: rescued and rehabilitated 20+ stray cats and dogs, independently and with local communities
Current concerns: I see my
CGPA and GMAT score as the main weaknesses in my profile, which is why I’m trying to be very realistic about school selection.
Applied so far: – INSEAD MiM
– ESSEC MiM
– JSIF MiM
Planning to apply to: – ESADE (CEMS MiM)
– Georgetown
– Duke
– Cornell
– Questrom (BU)
I’d love suggestions for
strong safety-net options (Europe / US / Asia) where my profile would still be competitive, especially programs that value work experience, leadership, and a non-traditional creative background.
Thanks in advance
