Hi,
I was hoping to get a realistic evaluation of my profile. Details are as below:
25, Female, Dual Degree in Chemical Engineering and Economics plus certified Chemist from Canadian university (graduate of class of 2013).
Worked as Field Engineer in Oil&Gas for 1.5 years. Now working as Junior Financial Adviser in Insurance Company for the past 8 months. Total Experience so far: 2.3 years.
Writing my GMAT in early Jan 2016, hoping to score around 680-700.
My main concern is my low GPA and relatively low number of years of experience. I can explain my low GPA if given a chance (through additional essays - a lot of extenuating family circumstances which didn't allow me to perform to the best of my ability, but my GPA actually shows an upward trend in the final 2 years). And for work experience, I will be at 3 years for the session of 2016, but it is still a low number.
I needed help in selecting schools that I have a shot at getting in. I want to switch into Management Consulting after MBA and I am open to 1 or 2 years of program, preferably in North America, although I would attend a good European School if I can get in. I have been looking at Richard Ivey and INSEAD (more Ivey) and wanted to know what other schools I can apply to that are known for Management Consulting and the schools that will take me.
Thank you.
