Hi again,

Thanks for sharing your motivations for the degree, and for why now is the appropriate time to apply. It seems you've put some thought into it all and that will help when it comes time to write essays or go for interviews, and your rationales sound reasonable. As long as you show you know what you are getting yourself into ;), and you have valid reasons for the degree and explanations of what you'll do with it and why you'll need it, that will help.

In terms of the GMAT, it's not very common to re-take with an overall score of 720... I mean if you scored a lot higher on quant on a recent practice test and really want to give it one more shot, knowing you can cancel if you're not satisfied, then I guess you could if you have the time etc and see what happens.

Just be sure to allow sufficient time for applications and essays, depending upon what round you may be aiming for. Good luck!

Just a quick update.

I took the GRE over the weekend and scored a 331 (167Q, 164V). I hope that this score is a more accurate reflection of my quantitative abilities.

I was also waitlisted at Fuqua and rejected at Stern in Round 1. Here's hoping for better luck in Round 1 -- my essays are more polished and focused on what I will do with an MBA and why I need an MBA now.
