Hi there!
I was hoping that I could maybe have a profile evaluation.
Undergraduate Career:
-Attended a Canadian Top 3 business school with a dual specialization in Accounting and Entrepreneurship.
-cGPA: 3.1
-Core Business GPA: 3.5
-Participated in a global exchange program to Asia
GMAT: 710
Extracurricular Activities:
-Young leaders council (age 20-35) for national charity
-Global Ambassador for a global economic organization
-Founded my own non-profit
-Founded and was the president of the second largest conference at my undergraduate school
-member of a number of committees and teams at work
-represented my province during my undergraduate career for rugby at national competitions
-Avid international volunteer (including working with the St. Lucian National Rugby Team)
-Fluent in Spanish, Hindi and English
Work Experience:
Attained my Chartered Accountant designation and have been working with a Big Four for 3 and a half years.
Experience in both Audit and Consulting in mining, Non-Profit, consumer goods and technology (mainly specialized in mining & consumer goods)
Low cGPA:
Throughout my undergraduate career I was highly involved with a number of extracurriculars, as well, I went through a traumatic injury during my second year which skewed my marks down significantly during one semester that year. As well, my business courses and quant courses are fairly well, attaining at least a 3.3 in all of them, but my cGPA was much lower due to a number of Arts electives and language courses that I took. These were supposedly "bird courses" but I was not interested in them at all and this caused my average to be skewed down significantly. This is just a very brief a high level overview. I was also wondering if the extracurriculars, paired with strong references and fairly strong essays, and attaining the Chartered Accountant designation would play any role in offsetting the lower GPA
Prospective Schools:
1. INSEAD
2. Columbia
3. Northwestern
4. Chicago (Booth)
5. Berkeley
6. Yale
7. NYU
8. Oxford
9. Cambridge
Thanks for all of your time and I'm really looking forward to an evaluation or any suggestions to position myself for any of these programs!
