Hi ,
I was hoping to get my profile evaluated. I'm a little worried by the fact that I fall in probably the demographic with the largest representation in B-school
- Male, 26, Indian, married
- GMAT: 760 (Q41,V53). AWA (5.5)
- Undergrad from India - One of the IITs - Aerospace Engineering - GPA 3.1
- Worked 2.5 years in aerospace/automobile consultancy with a startup headquartered in Detroit. I worked in the India office. One promotion, but since it was a start-up the hierarchy was flat. Worked on projects for almost all the top tier aerospace and automobile companies.
- Working with a private equity fund in India since last 1.5 years. Joined as an analyst, promoted to Associate in an year. Only two of us in India so very good exposure to all aspects of private equity in India. The fund is a billion dollar fund based in HongKong.
- Extracurricular: Decent - adventure sports/ photography. Was quite involved in various club activities in college.
- Community Service - not much. Did some bits but nothing significant.
- Post MBA Long Term: Move to India in 5-7 yrs, and become an entrepreneur
- Post MBA Short term: Join a PE/VC fund in US.
- Considering HBS, Kellogg, Stanford in R1. Booth, Stern, Anderson in R2. Could I request you to suggest a few safe schools?
Am I being very optimistic?
Thanks
