1) I am a doctor based in india. I have worked as a senior registrar and a Critical Team leader for the biggest hospital in the State. as of now i am the Head of a Hospital and look after general management of the hospital. i have a staff of 35 under me directly and 12 tertiary sub hospitals that i look after in the state. in all i have a staff of 50-60 under me at one time. i am also working as the strategy head for a interstate project for rotary international.
2) GMAT=720 (q84%le v92%le)
3) College info: Government Medical College Dharamsala- maximum foreign Patient workload in the state., MBBS-60%(Ranked 2nd in the university, Major-Medicine & Surgery, graduated in 2006.
4) Freelancing for national dailies. National level Boxer-selected for 2006 melbourne commonwealth games,
motor sports-participated in FIA recognised events, INTERNATIONAL MOUNTAINEERING TEAM LEADER.
5) American Heart Association certified, Mayo research certifications
6)INSEAD,DUKE,WHARTON,IESE,IMD.
7) Short term-Consultancy specailising in healthcare.
Longterm-entrepreneurship in Drug Manfufacturing

You may be considered overqualified for an MBA. The strategy I recommend is applying to these programs but also considering EMBA and executive programs as well, like the programs that the IIMs offer for more experienced professionals (PGPX, EPGP, PGPEX), Nanyang Fellows, or the LBS Sloan Masters. These may be more appropriate for your level of experience and seniority.

hi,
mam i somehow feel that i might have a chance at one of these schools.
a friend of mine with a similar profile got into INSEAD. i was wondering about an mba on the same lines.

Yes, that's why I recommended the strategy of applying to them :wink: . I just also want you to round out your applications to include some programs for more highly qualified (and older) applicants.
