• 27 Indian Female, working in technology at an investment bank
• 700 GMAT (50Q/34V)
• Undergraduate GPA approx Indian 8.12/10
• Academics
o Undergraduation – B Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from a top NIT (Among the top institute of India)
o Pursuing the CFA program, giving level two in June 2016
o 10th & 12th – 92% each time, with a 100% in Mathematics
o 99.2 percentile ranking in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination of 2006.
• Work Experience (current – 5 yrs, will be 6 at the time of joining)
o 3 years in Trading Technology at Goldman Sachs, India. Was the Point of Contact for key technology initiatives, worked with the front office a fare bit. Worked global with many regions, was also a part of the graduate training held in NY for hires across the global
o 2 years in Trading Technology at Morgan Stanley, India. Now transited to a senior role, driving key projects. 1 direct report. Part of the hiring panel
• Extracurricular
o Certified to teach Power Yoga Internationally – apart from teaching at various institutes, started my own class for my company employees, an idea that later culminated into a full time gym at the firm
o Trained in dance & martial arts. Have performed at city-level shows a few times
o Have a knack for writing – won a competition and was published in a national level Childrens newspaper in 3rd grade
• Social Activities
o Was award the Prime Ministers Award by the Scouts & Guide Association in 8th grade in recognization of having played constructive role in the society
o Conduct personality development workshops for underprivileged students on behalf of an local NGO
• Goal
o MBA in Finance. Want to transition into investment banking
Target Schools (in order of preference)
o Wharton, Chicago Booth, MIT, Kellogg, Columbia, NYU
I tried re-taking the GMAT but my score wouldn’t move beyond 700. I am targeting to apply in R2 this year and want to target among the top 10 only. Which of these schools do you think I have a chance of getting in or do you think I should target any other school given my profile?
