Hi, would be thankful for an evaluation of profile strength, and prospective schools I should target among the top B schools.

GMAT : 710, 46Q 40V
Age: 25 yrs
UG: BE Mechanical 3.59/4 cgpa, Final year project with country's space agency related to rocket design, Conference paper on the design
Work Experience: 2 years, majorly in oil and gas sector, Currently Team Lead Mechanical, with additional roles as HoD Procurement and Warehousing leading around 10 people. Experience involves commissioning of a plant and a takeover of another plant as a key member of Projects team of around 30 people.
Nationality: Pakistani
short term goals: Switching to management consulting

Have currently applied to Said and am thinking about NUS MBA.

Hi hammadmisbah,

Thank you for your post. What's the latest from Said? I think you've got some good starting points, but NUS has quite a small class size and low admit rate (often in the 16% range), and its class has an average of seven years of work experience, which is about as high as you'll see among full-time programs worldwide (i.e., the school is looking for deeper seasoning and experience than many others). So for that particular school, I'm not sure that your stats and experiences will stand out quite enough *yet* to get over some of those hurdles *now*. I also don't have look-through to your extracurricular leadership or involvement, but apart from that, I would encourage you to really focus on the specifics of why you want to transition from the technical world into consulting.
