Hi all!
Below is a summary of my profile and goals. Wanted to hear from experts on whether I've got a good shot at the schools that I'm planning to apply to.
* 29/F Chinese / Canadian permanent resident, went to college & worked in Canada since 2009
* Undergrad majored in finance with a 3.19 GPA, scored 730 on GMAT this June
* 7 years’ working ex at 3 SaaS startups in various marketing capacities, past 4 years as the marketing director/founding member at a Seris B startup
* lots of exposure to different facets of tech/SaaS but other than self-learning Python & SQL, no CS/product experience
* goals: hoping move from marketing into product management post-graduation and eventually become a CPO in a sector that I'm interested in (education, blockchain, fintech)
* applied for NYU Stern's Tech MBA before Round 1 deadline, still haven't heard back
* now consiering 3 more schools before Round 2 deadline (early Jan): Cornell's Tech MBA, Tepper's FT MBA, McComb's FT MBA
If I only had time to apply for 2 out of the 3, which 2 should I go for?
With more than a month in hand, I'd recommend you apply to all three programs - Tepper has a very short application so it can be doable. Its a competitive year with the number of applications having gone up so this can be a safer option
I really like Tepper's strong focus on analytics and Carnegie Mellon's brand, Austin's got an amazing tech ecosystem (and I like the culture), Cornell being in NYC is a huge advantage since NYC is my dream city...
Thank you in advance!
