Hi,
Please find my profile below. I would really like your inputs if I'm ready for the M7:
Background: Indian, Male, 24 (Moved to SF from India, when I was 22 due to a job offer at a top
2 tech company)
Work Experience: 2 years at top 2 tech company in the SF bay area. (Received this offer while I was an undergrad student in India after completing an Internship at the Indian location), got promoted once, Tech lead in team, leading 2 other engineers, presented at 2-3 large scale internal conferences, conducted 2-3 trainings for other engineers in some ops related work, Received ~12 performance bonuses from various engineers and management within these 2 years, for contributions to key launches/releases.
Extra curricular activities 1. ~5-6 months as a board member at a local non-profit, but that non-profit is not like an NGO, it hosts drinks gettogethers/parties to raise money for welfare activities in India.
2. Problem setter for hacking contest back in undergrad.
3. Organized one more presentation event in undergrad.
UG:GPA 9.6/10 (in the 4.0 system, it's more like 3.95+)
- Ranked top 3 in the batch, well known engineering university at places like Google, Facebook, but it's not an IIT),
- 1 research paper,
- 1 internship at top 2 tech company.

Targeted schools (M7)Stanford
Harvard
MIT Sloan
Wharton
Chicago Booth
Kellogg
Columbia
Other considerations due to low gmat scores and experience (Would you recommend these, if I'm not good enough for M7 now): 1. Apply now to M7 and hope to get in somewhere - The biggest con is the awkwardness at my work place if I don't get into any program later. R1 has already passed, and I'm considering applying for R2 If I have good chances.
2. Do part time MS for another 3 years, shoot for another promo, but mostly concentrate on getting more EC and awards from the current company. Also, re-take GMAT to improve this score - target GMAT: 750+.
3. Quit and go for full-time MS, do a lot more EC (like starting my startups), community contribs, University engagements, work for 3 more years and re-apply to M7.
Career aspirations:I want to work in hedge-funds and private equity at the big apple. I understand this is very competitive and I want to go through an M7 school for the brand, the prospects, the career safety in pursuing these high risk areas. I'm technologically skilled and would like to use this and my machine learning background to do something new in these areas (also maybe setup my own startup), rather than work as a conventional software engineer at a big/popular company slaving over for the next promo.
Soliciting further suggestions!Any more suggestions on what I can do to improve my chances?
