Hi,
I hope you are doing well, I would greatly appreciate a profile evaluation. A/A male, 24, desires healthcare management.
1. Work (24 months by Aug 2012)- Drug development scientist at pharmaceutical company
6 months at Macys as store support associate
2. GRE (out of 170): 164 quantitative 162 Verbal. Conversion tool says 710 GMAT. My GMAT is coming up shortly
3. Undergrad: Univ. of Dayton B.S. Premedicine/Biochemistry 2009 GPA: 3.34 Member of Scholars program
4.-Elected Treasurer of Honor Society(100+ members) for 2 years, member for 3 years
-Relay for Life- organized fundraisers to support cancer research. 3 years
-Mentored/tutored inner city youth to promote the importance of college. 4 years
-2 years of volunteering at local children's hospital with terminally ill kids.
-Developed a successful marketing campaign (2007, while in school) for performing arts that is still in use today.
6. Schools- Northwestern, Michigan, Uchicago, Duke, ND, Yale, Indiana, Cornell
7. I attended medical school for a short time (family pressure) but left, not dismissed. I am wondering how the med school
experience would play in the admissions process.
I'm not sure what other info you guys require. Any help would be truly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Well, does A/A mean Asian American or African American? African American males are in short supply in the MBA programs, but Asian Americans are obviously much more abundant. If you're African American, your background will certainly give you a leg up in the process; if you meant Asian American, you're going to have to work hard to differentiate yourself.
I don't believe that the departure from medical school is going to be a strike against you exactly, but I do think that the programs are going to be wary that you are applying to this program while not fully committed to it (as you seem to have done in the case of medical school). You need to make a strong case for your business studies and why now in your essays to address that concern.
I see plenty of extracurricular leadership, but I would like to see more work leadership. If it exists, by all means highlight it in your essays. If your GMAT does come in around 710, then you are certainly in the running for some programs strong in healthcare: Wharton, Yale, HBS, Duke, Haas, Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, and Rutgers.

Thank you for the response, I really appreciate it. A/A as in african american. I am on the short side of work experience, however I just won the year end award at work for going above and beyond. My essays properly explain my med school stuff. Long story short: I got into med school while still in high school through a dual admissions program, so I decided on med school a bit too early. I should have left earlier, but it took a little maturation to finally do it.
Also just one more question if possible, I took the GRE because I was applying to some MHA/MBA programs. Is my GRE score enough, or do I really need the GMAT as well? Thanks for your time.
