Hello,

Thanks for checking in here. It sounds like your resume is solid, with progression and recognition along the way and a fairly reasonable path in terms of gaining additional experience and skillsets as you move forward in your career. Congrats on the strong GMAT, which I'd say is necessary given your GPA. Yes, as a few other posters mentioned above, the schools may 'understand' to a reasonable degree that undergrad was long ago, and that your GMAT shows your ability, and that you've done so much since then etc... that said, when you are talking about top schools, with 10-20% acceptance rates, when you are stacked up against OTHER strong 760-780 applicants who DO have strong GPAs too.... it can be quite tough!! The admissions committees are not judging you in a vacuum and saying yes or no... they have to COMPARE you to all other applicants and that is where things get tougher. That said, you have done one of the most important things to do which is nail the GMAT (when dealing with low GPA). Yes I'd support doing a course and/or doing HBX CORE, to demonstrate recent academic aptitude and hard-work. I still think HBS will be a bit of a dream, and yes Cornell would be more reasonable. Since it sounds like CBS is where you want to be I support doing ED and seeing what happens... but I do also feel that will be tough too, FYI. One step at a time, be sure to spend a lot of time and energy on brainstorming for and writing those essays this summer!! Not to mention-- incredible recommendations can help! Good luck!
