Hi all. I am planning to apply for 2020 intake for Msc Finance. A brief background about my profile:-
Demographic background:- Indian Female- 24 years old
Undergraduate Degree:- B.com from HL Institute of Commerce- Ahmedabad University, Ahmedabad (2016)
CGPA:- 3.25/4.33
Professional qualification (2013-2017):- Chartered Accountant with all the 3 levels cleared in the first attempt. Completed 3 years of mandatory practical internship.
Work experience:- Currently working in the Legal Entity Controller team for UK Investment Banking entities in Credit Suisse. Total post qualification work ex of 2 years. Can get good recommendations from supervisors and also got promoted in these 2 years.
Goals:- To pursue Msc Finance to kick start a career in roles like social investing. Being a CA limits me to back office IB roles.
Scores:- I sat for GMAT twice and my best score is 640 (Q49, V28, IR6, AWA5). I understand it is not a very competitive score but I have still narrowed down the below schools keeping in mind their minimum as well as average GMAT scores of incoming students. I need an honest evaluation of my profile since if I am not willing to defer my admissions for 1 more year due to a low GMAT score and hence trying my level best to leverage my SOPs, qualifications and LORs to get admits for 2020 intake.
Schools shortlisted.( this list can still be shortened)
1. ESSEC business school
2. ESADE
3. Alliance Manchester Business School
4. Vienna University of Economics and Business
5. Warwick Business School
6. EDHEC
7. Trinity College Dublin
8. Vlerick Business School
9. Stockholm School of Economics
Please let me know if my school selection is accurate or if some schools are way ambitious.
Cheers.
