Hi Guys,
I gave my GMAT last week but unfortunately scored 630. I will be re-attempting the exam and my target has been to score 720+.
I would however want someone to review my overall profile and give me an overview on the universities where I good chances of getting an admit. I understand that the admission depends a lot on GMAT score, Essays and the interview, but I would want to get a realistic idea about my chances in different universities.
My profile details are as follows:-
Completed Bachelor's in Engineering from Mumbai University , India in 2012 with an aggregate of 74%.
I have a total work experience of 4 years in Software Industry and have worked for TIBCO , and now working for a startup.
I have worked for a variety of clients under Retail, Telecom and Travel domain. My telecom client is one of the upcoming telecom giant in India .My work primarily included software development.
I have got ample opportunities to work directly with the client since I was working on site. On my work, I have experience in various cycles of project development like Design, Development, Testing and support.
Currently I am co-leading a team of around 6 7 people.
My aspiration is to pursue an MBA in General Management and enter into consulting.
Please evaluate my profile, Also please comment on whether I need to improve my profile(if required), as I have a year left before I will apply( by that time I will have 5 years of work experience) and hence will work for strengthening my application. My goal is to try only for top 20 universities (outside USA will also be considered).

Hey dude,
Well the short of it is that if you want to make Top 20 schools you will need at least a 710 and higher is better.
do you need to improve your profile? Always!
From what I see here I would focus down on more volunteer work and more leadership if you can, as well as seeking international experience.

Just to add one point, focus on 1-2 professional projects where you deliver something outstanding, which can preferably be linked, directly or indirectly, to $$$. If that’s at the back of your mind, you can in fact volunteer to be part of a project where you see an opportunity to deliver such a performance.
Such experience(s) can form the backbone your essays and recommendations.
Just to add one point, focus on 1-2 professional projects where you deliver something outstanding, which can preferably be linked, directly or indirectly, to $$$. If that’s at the back of your mind, you can in fact volunteer to be part of a project where you see an opportunity to deliver such a performance.
Such experience(s) can form the backbone your essays and recommendations.
