Hi there ,
I am looking for a full-time MBA from Top 15-20 B-school
Please evaluate my profile
Experience : 13 years out of which last 9 years have been in leadership role and last 5 years in mid -management role for a large telecommunication company . Currently I head a vertical for an MNC telecom company with more than 400+ people.
I have worked in many projects and recently Worked on a sustainability project as well.
I have launched business and I travel extensively for my work within the country.
I received the brand ambassador award for Vodafone.
I have hands on experience in retail, business development , Profitability , people management.
Education :
Bachelors in computer application with GPA 3.5 ( as per 10 point scale)
Diploma in management consultancy from Institute of Management Consultants of India with GPA 3.5
( I do not have a strong GPA and my transcript doesn't look too good ). I definitely have a reason.
Certification in digital marketing.
why full time and why MBA
A break from work and dedicated focus on studies. To get exposure in a global environment
Why MBA: want to change the career track to consultancy.
[b]GMAT[/b : started the preparation and tentatively will sit for the exam in Sep end. Expecting nothing less than 650( will try for 700 )
Have a IELTS score of 7
Which schools would be suitable? . I have no limitations to only US. But Uk I am a bit sceptical looking at the overall post MBA career report.

Your background and experience can bring a lot to a cohort, but from the limited information i have on your profile, I foresee the following challenges (in no particular order):
1. While most U.S. universities have a range of years of experience between 0-14, most average at about 5 for FT MBAs.
2. You will require a strong GMAT (700+) for the schools you are targetting, mainly since you belong to an overrepresented body of applicants.
3. You also need to have a very compelling reason for pursuing an MBA and a reason why an MBA at this stage in your career makes sense. Some might recommend that you look at EMBA programs instead, and you need to have an answer for that as well.
