Background

Personal: White male, 27

Work experience: 6 years at matriculation as an analyst for the U.S. military, including 2 as the chief and front-line supervisor of a ~20 person analytic/operational team, succeeded someone 10+ years in seniority. Significant overseas travel, language proficiency.

Extra curriculars: Board member of local college alumni chapter, board member of local chapter of international human rights advocacy nonprofit

Undergrad school/major: University of Texas / political science and Arabic

Other education/coursework: Grad certificate in data analytics at Johns Hopkins, hundreds of hours of coursework at in-house school

Stats

GMAT Score: 730

Undergrad GPA: 3.65 (3.9 major GPA)

MBA Info

Goal of MBA: In the short term, change careers and do management consulting for a firm with a large public sector practice. In the long term, reenter the government/foreign policy sphere in senior policymaking roles.

Target schools: Columbia, Fuqua, Tuck, Darden

Thanks for sharing your profile. I really like your background, strong academic and GMAT performance and really impressive work experience and language skills. I think you have targeted your schools appropriately and are right at or above the data points at the schools listed. I think you are competitive and as long as you have some good talking points stemming for your personal and professional experience, you should be fine
