Mechanical Engg. from one of the top 10 Indian University. Top 5% in class.
Work Ex : 3 years,India. Working as Senior Field Engineer for second biggest Oil and Gas Exploration service company worldwide...work involves extracting data/information on oil/gas prospects at location.Lead various multicultural(nationalities) teams of 3-5 co-workers.working in teams always.staying in remote locations and offshore rigs.
2 promotions in 3 years.
International Exposure : US (4months); UK(1 month); Dubai(2weeks) for training purpose; Bangladesh (1month) for work project - earned 1 million$ in a month for the company.
EC: Not much. Member of SPE(Society of Petroleum Engg.) ;participating/organizing tech-fests and volunteer teaching work in college days. but once started with job, didnt get much time.
Post MBA goals: still evaluating. Open to a various career paths for now.
My target schools are:
LBS, MIT, Stern, Fuqua, Darden, McCombs, and one from Columbia/Booth (confused between the two, please suggest)
Given the profile (gmat score and WE) do you think i have a shot at one of H/W/K.
Also i hear for India applicants the average GMAT threshold for admission is higher than the class GMAT average. Your views?
