Hi,
I'm female with an IT background working in the US. I have about 6 years of work experience and have been a SW lead for 3 years. I have a bachelors and masters in Computer Science.
GMAT score - 1st attempt 600 (Quants 47/ Verbal 28)
2nd attempt 640 (quants 40/verbal 38)
On the 2nd attempt, I could have done much better on the quants section, but I wasted a lot of time on the first few questions and so had to rush through the rest.
School I want to apply to -
1. UT Austin
Do you think my GMAT score is good enough for UT Austin? The 2nd math score worries me. What do you think my chances are of getting into UT Austin?
Thanks!!
Average GMAT for McComb is 686. So as far as the GMAT score goes, not very promising news. You are below the 50% mark in terms of the GMAT score. HOWEVER, GMAT is only a small piece of the whole application. It really depends on your complete application package. I would suggest, try applying in R1, if you have everything ready for submitting.
There is nothing like a "good enough" GMAT score.
