RF,
Thanks for reaching out to me. You've got a lot going for you in your candidacy - the right work experience, the right promotions, the big GMAT score, the quant split/work experience to build out from you history major ... and the college athletics is actually pretty huge. NCAA athletics often shows teamwork and leadership in a shorthand manner and it also will automatically give your GPA a bump (admissions officers know hard it is to juggle being a student-athlete).
The big key for you is laying out very clearly the transition from what you are doing, to what you want to to short-term, to mid-term, to something long-term. That will be key.
An even bigger key will be really highlighting your maturity. It will show readiness (some schools are skewing young, but it is almost more hype than anything - 25/26 requires showing some sense of "this is the right time" and "I'm very mature and ready for this challenge."
As for your schools, I see no reason to shy away from any program. Harvard is right in your wheelhouse, even with the GPA hit. Stanford is a bit of a wild card. Wharton has held pretty firm on work experience, so you really have to show them it is time (and also really highlight a habit of innovative community involvement). I think your chances are as good as Columbia as your goals essay turns out. Love Stern for you, also Tuck.
If you want to get into this a bit more, PM me and we'll set up a consultation for you.
Respectfully,
Paul Lanzillotti
