Thanks for the info. I'm not sure I can make it into any of those schools listed with a 620 GMAT. Please let me know your comments.

Does anyone have a list of great finance schools I can possibly get into??

I've made a list of potential schools that I can get into which are ranked well and have investment management programs:
University of Wisconsin (Madison)
Indiana University (Kelley)
University of Oxford (Said)
Duke University (Fuqua)
University of Texas - Austin (McCombs)
Carnegie Mellon University (Tepper)
University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (Carlson)
Boston College (Carroll)
University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill (Kenan-Flagler)
University of Notre Dame (Mendoza)
Vanderbilt University (Owen)
Emory University (Goizueta)
Ohio State University (Fisher)
Rice University (Jones)
Southern Methodist University (Cox)
Washington University - St. Louis (Olin)

Does anyone have any thoughts or any experience with these? Also what would be the best fits given my credentials (in the first post above)?

If I have a GMAT score of 620 and the median GMAT for a certain school is a 670, the spread is -50 points. My question is what is a reasonable spread when choosing schools to apply to? (given my high GPA and other attributes (see profile above)).

Would it be realistic to apply to a bunch of schools with a -50 spread?

Thanks.

Well, probably I am not the most qualified person to answer, but if I were in your shoes, I would probably focus on schools outside top20 or even top30. From the accepted students in the first rounds it is apparent that the average gmat scores this year are at least 10 points higher than last year, and with 620 you will find it hard to compete for few spots in the first tier schools.
To cut it short: 50 points would be maximum spread I would consider.
Having said that, your GPA is excellent, WE also seems fine and if you can put up compelling applications, you should get accepted to some schools!
