Hello,
Russian, 28.

GMAT 640 (q47 v31)
GPA 3.8 (Red Diploma)

3.5 years of experience in private banking, leading (best) Russian Investment Company.
Lot's of achievements (best employee etc.)
+ Financial Director of IT start-up.

Want to apply to Tepper, Duke this year. Tepper 3d round (not last one), Duke last round.
Do you think I stand a chance, or better choose some other schools like Rise, Olin, Vanderbilt University: Owen.

(I've already applied to Kelley, McCombs, UNC with previous gmat score 620)

Thank you,
Nikolay

A 640 will make a top program a challenge for you but the rest of your profile is very interesting! Tepper and Duke will be reaches but you may have a shot at some of the others. Your best bet is to have very strong LORs which stress your performance - particularly your quantitative performance (it will help that you work in finance). Being Russian is a good differentiator and your grades are great.

Good luck!
