1) I have been in the mechanical/fire protection engineering industry for about 9 years now. I have led many large scale projects as a project manager over looking various other disciplines. Currently, I am the associate director of my division at a large government research facility, where we over look various projects.
2) I have not taken the GMATs yet, but I have been working with Veritas and OG and my practice exams range in the scores of 680-730.
3) Graduated in 2005 from University of MD with a 2.4/4.0 in Fire Protection Engineering (A mechanical engineering specialty)
4) Over the past 10-12 years, I have been very much involved with church working on community projects to raise money and to help guide high school kids as they look towards future goals. I have also created my own online company which was greatly successful and got bought out by a competitor. In the process I was managing 15 people, and working with various vendors both domestically and internationally. Also, I run my own consulting firm with one partner which is growing on a steady pace.
5) I am a board certified and registered P.E. (Professional Engineer).
6) I am looking at EMBA programs at Darden, Wharton, & Columbia. If those programs are out of my reach, then PT programs at Georgetown or Smith (UMD).
7) I am planning on starting my application process for the 2014 school year.
8) I would like to more in depth knowledge of management, finance, and also entrepreneurship. Using my past experiences and knowledge from my MBA, I feel that I could grow my consulting firm or even work my way up to executive positions at my current company.
