Hi All,
I would be grateful if you could have a look at my profile.
Indian M ( commerce graduate )
6.5 year workex ( 5.5 years with big 4 in UK direct tax consultancy + 1 year in a family biz setup )
Project lead managing a team of 11. Even though it was a KPO I had client facing role in the sense that I was the final authority to send out finished tax return work to individual. As a lead I worked on budgeting on projects, forecasting and communicating staffing requirements.
Pursuing my CFA out of sheer interest. (l2 candidate)
Want to move into management consultancy specifically into operations of the business and strategic planning on that. Long term goal to have my own consultancy.
Extra curriculurs – won a lot of national level quizzes, got into top 40 of knowledge based reality show, run as a hobby and help raise awareness
Targeting Oxford, Cambridge, HEC, ISB, NUS.
Am I aiming at right colleges?
References - UK director, Indian manager
GMAT scores (today mock) - 670. Would a score around this give me a fighting chance?

Hi there,
When are you trying to apply? If you're looking at R2 or R3, the GMAT is really the only meaningful difference you can make. For the schools you're looking for, I'd aim for a 720+. Your work experience provides a strong foundation for what you want to do post MBA. What does your UG GPA look like? Your involvement is quite ordinary, so while your work is admirable, I don't think it makes you stand out from the pack. With a solid GMAT and killer essays/LORs, you can make a case for yourself. Well I was looking at R3 deadline for cambridge and oxford. The 31 Jan deadlines for HEC and NUS.
720+!!! geez! well I need a little more time to prepare for that kinda score. Is it a good idea to apply in R4 for Oxford / Cambridge?
I have a CGPA of 3.48.
