Hi Paul,

Please help me in choosing the right Bschool :-D

Here's my profile:
- Asian student, 22 F
- WE: 1 years in Marketing
- GMAT: 710
- TOEFL: 101
- GPA: rank outstanding in my country's grading system (it is difficult to convert to 4.0 scale).

- Extracurricular activities:

+ team leader in studying team in undergraduate school for 4 years.
+ secretary of class in 4 years ( among leaders of my class)
+ 1 st prize in a research contest in school
+ 2nd prize in a contest for nationwide contest for student
+ some articles posted on online newspaper
+ 1st prize in dancing team contest in school (as a member)
+ volunteer work: 2years in a youth union group.

- Target school: major in Marketing

+ Michigan State University (Eli Broad)
+ Wisconsin Madison
+ Ohio State University (Fisher)
+ Vanderbilt (Owen)
+ Notre Dame Mendoza
+ Boston University
+ University of Maryland (Smith)
+ University of Iowa (Tippie)
+ Texas A&M Mays
+ Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

Your work experience is low and you don't seem to have a lot of leadership, but your numbers are good, and as a Vietnamese (I'm assuming) female you will definitely be a potential diversity admit, so if you can emphasize you leadership stories in your essays, get your recommenders to do the same, and convince the schools why you need an MBA now rather two years from now, then you should have a decent chance at all these schools. Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, and Maryland are known to admit a fair number (~4% of class or higher) of applicants with 1 year or less of W/E, but only Wisconsin is ranked among the top marketing programs. A well-ranked marketing programs where you should have a decent chance of admission is U. Florida.
